This versatile air-drying clay is a favourite among model railway modellers, diorama builders, and crafters thanks to its ease of use, excellent workability, and ability to hold fine detail. Supplied in a 500g block, it can be shaped, sculpted, rolled, carved, and textured without the need for baking or specialist equipment.
DAS clay is particularly useful for creating terrain features, retaining walls, canal banks, roads, hardstanding, building details, and scenic groundwork. It also works exceptionally well with the Green Stuff World textured rollers and rolling pins, allowing you to create realistic brickwork, cobbles, paving, flagstones, and road surfaces with minimal effort.
Once dry, the clay can be sanded, carved, drilled, painted, and weathered, making it an extremely versatile scenic material for a wide range of modelling projects.
The natural terracotta colour provides a useful base for earthy scenes and can be left visible in some applications or painted to suit your chosen setting.
