Delivery information
None of us like paying for delivery, but sadly it's not cheap these days - Hopefully you'll agree that we've tried to be as fair as possible with what we charge.
Standard UK Delivery Options
Our default is to send with Royal Mail as in general they still have the best balance of price and reliability.
- Standard orders under £40:
- Default is 2nd class for £3.95 or,
- You can choose the Tracked 24 option for £5.95.
- Standard orders over £40:
- These orders will ship for free by Royal Mail 2nd Class or,
- You can choose the Tracked 24 option for £5.95.
- Orders containing aerosols:
- Any order containing an aerosol will ship using a courier. This is generally Evri. The trick with Evri is that I use their next day delivery option as they prioritise these through the system and their drivers are paid more to deliver them, so they tend to be pretty reliable with next day orders!
- We can no longer ship aerosols to Northern Ireland or
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday will generally ship the same day unless we are travelling to or at a show/event.
International Delivery Options
Our focus as a business is to provide excellent UK service, but we are happy to ship internationally if required. Sadly aerosols cannot ship outside of the UK mainland.
- Europe:
- Standard orders under £100:
- These items are shipped with Royal Mail International Economy
- Part of the cost covers the customs paperwork that is now required post Brexit (sorry EU friends!)
- Orders over £100
- These orders ship free of charge
- Standard orders under £100:
- Rest of the world:

- These items are shipped with Royal Mail International Economy
- Part of the cost covers the customs paperwork
- Orders over £150
- These orders ship free of charge

Terms of shipping
- If your item hasn't arrived within a few days then please contact adam@rail-stuff.com in the first instance
- You will receive an e-mail notification once your order has dispatched
- If a tracking number is available for your order then this can be used to check the status of your shipment - Tracking numbers are not available on standard 2nd class shipments
- For international orders RAILstuff is NOT responsible for any import duties or taxes that your local government may apply and cannot predict these in advance - All customs documentation is filled in as per Royal Mail requirements
