Expand your LOCK 'N LOAD weathering system with the AMMO Weathering Colors Set, containing six watercolour leads designed for use with the LOCK 'N LOAD rechargeable technical pencil.
The colours have been selected specifically for common weathering effects including grime, paint chipping and different stages of rust, making the set particularly useful for locomotives, rolling stock, trackside machinery, vehicles, buildings and other heavily used subjects.
The leads can be sharpened to create either a fine point for scratches and precise marks or a broader tip for larger effects. Apply them dry directly to the model, blend the result with a damp brush, or wet the tip before application. As the colours are water-soluble, effects can also be adjusted or removed with water if you're not happy with the result. AMMO recommends applying them over a matt surface for the best grip.
For model railway weathering, they're particularly useful for creating rust around metalwork, grime on underframes, chipped paint on wagons, scratches around frequently handled areas and general signs of age and use.
